  • MULTIMEDIA AND DESIGN:  EDT 630
    • This course is designed to develop students’ technical skills in multimedia design and development for instructional purposes. Topics include visual design principles, desktop publishing, digital graphics, and digital audio and digital video.
  • INTRODUCTION TO INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY:  EDT 600
    • This course provides students with an in-depth overview of the field of Instructional Design & Technology. Topics include the history, critical issues, emerging trends, key concepts of the field; and basic technology operations and concepts.
  • INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN: THEORIES & MODELS:  EDT 610
    • This course focuses on pedagogical theories as they relate to instructional design, and on existing and emerging models of instructional design. Topics include major schools of thoughts on how people learn, instructional and learning theories, and instructional design models and principles.
  • TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION:  EDT 620
    • This course focuses on how to integrate technology into the curriculum to effectively support and enhance learning. It provides students with opportunities to apply the principles and methods of technology integration by designing and developing real life technology-based projects.
    • PRACTICUM IN INSTRUCTIONAL DESGN & TECHNOLOGY:  EDT 650
      • This course is designed as a capstone course for M.S. in Instructional Design and Technology candidates. It provides practice in applying students’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes of instructional design and technology through placement in an appropriate work setting.  
      • ACTION RESEARCH PROPOSAL:  For this course, students will be put into groups to complete an Action Research Proposal that will integrate everything learned and accomplished in this degree program. This synthesis of learning around a research design is the final critical piece of the puzzle that completes the journey of becoming a practitioner-scholar.
